In preparing for the Masked Ball things in Manhattan are a little crazy and rushed, so the music is a little more frenzied and definitely a random mix of tempos and sounds. To start Alright! By Shiloh plays in the background as Jenny runs all over town doing errands for Blair, it comes on again when Blair and Serena are discussing the ball and a date for Serena.

The feel good song Central Park by Goodmornings jams out as Dan and Vanessa discuss what to do with their day and their time. As soon as Dan realizes that Serena is going to the Ball with another date the tune changes and the music gets a little faster and a little more frenzied.

As the ball starts, Kiss, Kiss by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs starts pumping out and you get a good view of all the masked partygoers, including Jenny as she sneaks into the party. As Dan arrives the song Guess Who by Nekta builds up and Dan spies Serena dancing away with her mystery date. Elsewhere in the party Chuck is again attracted to Jenny, but this time he does not know who she is. To help her get her revenge for the last party encounter Take it to the Top by 5 Alarm Music goads Jenny on.

A Taste by Sofia J comes on as Dan cuts in on Serena’s date to dance with her and continues through scenes of Jenny messing around with Chuck and random people trying to clue Nate in to who Blair is at the ball.

Things do not go to well between Dan and Serena at first because Serena knows Dan was lying about who he was talking to. Nasty Funky Crazy by Becca Styles plays as Serena tells Dan she knows he was lying, as Dan tries to explain himself to Vanessa Ring a Ling by Miss Eighty 6 plays.

Beck’s Timebomb and Mika’s Happy Ending play through the last few scenes as everyone realizes something they didn’t know at the start of the day and heads home.
