Dare Devil is filled with anticipation and several moment defining moments, and the quick paced music is good at helping you get in the mood for lots of drama. The steady beat, in There’s a Pot Brewin by The Little Ones, and dance vibe that keeps bringing in new sounds and instruments comes in as Blair is overseeing preparations for her annual sleepover. The lyrics alone let you know that something big is going to happen and the rest of the play list reflects that as well.
When Dan and Serena order their meal Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G Major attempts to add a serious tone to their date, but the bouncy tune adds to the comicalness of it all. Meanwhile, Jenny finds herself at Blair’s sleepover in Serena’s place and Rockstar by Prima J bangs out a beat in the background as Jenny tries on outfit after outfit.
Hold Me Close by Daniel May finishes as Dan and Serena finish their dinner and Dan finds out Serena prepaid for it all. The fun and romantic Jezebel (Ringing in My Ears) by Two Hours Traffic plays when Dan and Serena finally get down to having fun playing a game of pool and get to know each other. When Rufus is forced to interrupt their date Mama I’m Coming Home by Ozzy Osbourne plays with a slow beat to end the date.
Eric, who is responsible for the interruption, has broken out of the facility he is in with the help of Jenny after he sends her a text message with the song Came to Dance by Cadence Blaze playing in the background. At the club with everyone else, Jenny dares Blair to kiss a total stranger to the song Whine Up by Kat Deluna.
When Serena and Dan arrive at the club Get Ur Party On by Zooland is playing, but it is soon replaced by the more sedate but upbeat Something Like That by Tim AKA Song and Wager.
