With an opening like Blair’s dream, it makes sense to have Moon River by Henry Mancini playing in the intro to the episode. The telling son will repeat again when Dan overhears Blair and Serena arguing so it really sets the tone for Blair’s streak of bad luck.
The fast paced and groovy Make it Bounce by The Invisible Men blares in the background as Mrs. Waldorf, Serena and Blair chat, songs with a similar sound will play throughout the many photo shoot scenes to keep things fast. Candy Store by Miss Eighty 6 is another one of those upbeat songs for the photo and it does the job of accompanying the girls as they goof off with clothing from the new line.
Later, Until You Can’t by Alana D. is playing in the background during the practice shoot. The song picks up the beat as Serena steps in to help Blair loosen up and they have fun messing around with playful poses. Funny enough Blair’s mother and her consultants feel that she isn’t what they are looking for after all and Habanera from the famous opera, Carmen by Bizet, begins playing--everyone knows something big is still going to happen.
Blair and Serena have a little spat, but like great best friends they get past their problems and rise above it. They are smart enough to not let this ruin their day and as they head out to recreate their own photo shoot Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston helps them pose away.
Meanwhile, Chuck is busy exploring his own partying limits and a different mood of music is used to reflect his mood including, The Focus by X5, Till the Sun Comes Up by Miss Eighty 6 and Bounce Back by Early Earl ft. Miss Eighty 6.
