Everyone in Manhattan is groomed to impress, and Ivy Week at school is one of the best chances to show everyone just how much of an impression you can make. Keeping with that idea The Constance Billard Choir opens with their rendition of Glamorous by Fergie. The idea of keeping up impressions continues as Blair bonds and reminisces with her maid and confidant to Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.4 in G Major.

I Got It From My Mama by Will.I.Am gets things going and keeps it interesting as the girls take to the field hockey green. Blair and Serena go on to battle it out on the field and finally throw down as each one tries to prove that they are the better of the two.

Dan finds out that your name and social status has a lot to do with things, and sometimes it doesn’t matter how hard you try to impress those around you because they won’t see past your wallet. As soon as Dan finds out he does not get the usher position he applied for Can’t Be Happening by The Marlows plays, and Dan realizes he has no other way to get noticed by the Dartmouth representative.

When Rufus goes and gets things done, securing Dan a spot at the Mixer, I Feel it All by Feist plays in the background as he breaks the news to Dan. Dan isn’t excited, but he realizes it is better than nothing and as the song says, he doesn’t stop or give up on himself.

In an attempt to bring Serena down, Chuck follows her to the rehabilitation center thinking she is a patient there herself. Raise Your Hand by The Lights plays as Chuck does his spying. Later at the mixer Dusk Till Dawn by Ladyhawke plays on as Blair publicly outs Serena and everyone goes on worried only about themselves and who they need to impress next.
