Gossip Girl Episode 8 opens with Blair climbing the walls in sexual frustration. She manages to get out those three little words – “I hate you” – just to have Chuck leave her standing in the rain. Unable to admit her true feelings but equally unable to live without Chuck’s magic touch, she turns to Dan, of all people, for advice.
Meanwhile, Nate seems to be looking at Jenny in a whole new light thanks to her brighter, blonder ‘do. When he shows up at Eleanor’s studio, Agnes the meddling model comments on the vibes between the two. She also encourages Jenny to crawl out from under Eleanor’s thumb. Jenny’s homemade dress is an accidental hit with the buyers, however, and Eleanor wants it for her next line. When Jenny’s can’t finish the dress in time, she shows some backbone and breaks with Eleanor.
Episode 8 of Gossip Girl continues at Rufus’s new gallery show, where Aaron, the artist who’s so adorably awkward he has me alliterating, chats Serena up while he finishes welding his pieces together. Actual and metaphorical sparks fly, but Serena glances at Dan and turns Aaron down. Later in the show, she reconsiders but is too late - the back seat of Aaron’s motorcycle has been claimed by another. Blair also loses in love when Dan steers her away from opening up to Chuck, but the two end up deciding that the game is too good to end.
Episode 8 ends with Jenny half-clothed and uncomfortable with her new older friends, in a situation teetering towards underage porn. She’s more embarrassed than relieved when Nate fishes her out, but has just enough newfound bravery left over to act on Agnes’s intimations and kiss him. How will Rufus feel about his new tenant hooking up with his newly unemployed daughter? Watch Gossip Girl online next week!
