In an attempt to get into his Dad’s line of business and earn his father’s respect, Chuck scouts out a club that he wants to turn into a Burlesque club and drafts up a proposal. Nate’s mother tells him that he has to go to a treatment facility for the addiction she thinks he has, but his dad tells him not to worry about things because he is going to stop using.
Jenny is busy looking for the bracelet she borrowed under Blair’s name, not knowing that Blair already has the bracelet and knows that Jenny was at the Masked Ball. At school Nate corners Jenny so that he can ask her to keep quiet about what he said to her at the ball and the kiss they shared. Before they can finish their conversation though, Blair interrupts and Nate gives the chocolate to Blair instead saying it is his apology.
Blair lets Jenny know she has her bracelet and that she doesn’t like secrets, putting Jenny in a corner. Back at the Palace, Chuck walks in on Lily and his father, but Bart tells Chuck he is not allowed to say anything to Serena or anyone else. Chuck goes ahead and pitches his idea, and Bart says he will meet him at the club, but when he shows up Bart thinks Chuck is just using it as an excuse to just spend more time in clubs and decides against it.
When Chuck sees Bart enter his limo with another woman afterwards he assumes his father is just seeing other women and tells Lily. Later Chuck learns that she is actually a business friend and advised Bart to go ahead with Victrola, the name of the club. Now Bart has the job of explaining things to Lily.
Nate sees his dad buying more cocaine, and when Nate tries to talk to his mother about it she makes excuses instead of dealing with it. Jenny also decides to tell Blair about Nate’s kiss and what he said. Before Nate and Blair have a chance to talk, Nate’s dad punches Nate and he gets arrested. Turns out there are already several people working on a case against the Captain and they have him under arrest for embezzlement and fraud. Blair leaves Nate and heads to Chuck’s new club where she gives in to the moment and makes what she calls a bad decision.
