 Gossip Girl's Season 2 Episode 7 “Chuck in Real Life” shows a new side to Chuck that we all just might fall for. I think that Chuck sincerely has a kind spot in his heart after all and we’ve just got a small glimpse of it in this season 2’s episode 7. I like what I see in him from this episode and look forward to watching him flourish.
Here's an update of Gossip Girl season 2 episode 7 for those behind. Lilly and her 'present' husband Bart, Chuck’s father, are trying to lay down some new rules for the kids; Serena, Chuck and Erik. Chuck explains to Serena the real reason that Bart wants a family setting is to close a business deal; which, in my opinion isn’t really the case.
Vanessa blackmails Blair into helping her get signatures for charity work dealing with a jazzy bar. Blair and Chuck make a proposition to take Vanessa down. Dan gets some action on the soccer field with Nat and realizes that his new friend has been living in poor conditions all alone. Blair has to up the stakes with Chuck so he continues with the deal. Chucks puts money towards the corner jazz bar so that it doesn’t go under and invites Vanessa to a celebration dinner with his family, reporters, and business associates; the works. Seeing Vanessa at the dinner party with Chuck Blair is taken off guard, and in complete jealousy reveals to her the secret deal.
It’s no wonder that Serena doesn’t care to help during the flashy dinner from all the baggage her mother has brought into their life. Little Erik is shown as a wise 15 year old in this episode of Gossip Girl. I’m impressed with how he advises Serena and expresses the truth to his mother Lilly. Poor Chuck had is heart set on saving this jazz bar when his dad crushes the hopes and let’s Vanessa down. After a long term of silence, in season 2 episode 7 Serena and Dan have a heart to heart talk, this might mean a future friendship, we’ll see. At the end of the evening Serena’s family talks of apologies while Chuck leaves a lonely Blair in her sexy attire because she isn’t able to tell him those three little words. It is, as he tells her, her time to chase him. Good boy.
